Click HERE to Register Your SchoolISTSE has been conducting Offline examination (paper-based) exam in Schools over the past years; However, due to the current global situation, it has proposed to conduct ISTSE Online exam for giving a better opportunity for the students to appear in the exam from the comfort of their home. However, if the situation improves and returns to normalcy, the offline paper-based option will only be available subject to reopening of the school.
This year, ISTSE exam for Schools will be conducted :
- Paper-based exam, which will be conducted on (3rd Feb 2024). The student needs to fill the form in the school and the exam will be conducted in the school premises during school hours. The respective forms will be sent by us.

Certificates
Each participating student with get a certificate. The student who scores
95% or above will get a Scholar Certificate along with a Gold Medal
90% to 94.99% will get an Outstanding Performance Certificate along with a Silver Medal
80% to 89.99% will get a Distinguished Performance Certificate along with a Bronze Medal
below 75% will get a Participation Certificate
Ranking Criteria
In case two or more students score the same marks, then ranks will be determined based on the following criteria (weightage will be given from top to bottom):
Rule 1 - The student who will get more marks in Scholars’ Section will get higher rank.
Rule 2 - The student who will get more marks in Math will get higher rank.
Rule 3 - The student who will get more marks in Science will get higher rank.
Rule 4 - The student who will get more marks in Mental & Logical Ability will get higher rank.
Rule 5 - The student who will get more marks in English will get higher rank.
Rule 6 - If two students get the same marks, the student who is younger in age will be given preference.
In case two or more students score the same marks under the above criteria, they will be awarded the same rank.
Exam Details (Paper-based/Online - Through school)
The ISTSE paper-based is an advanced test that challenges students to apply their learning and thinking by answering stimulating questions, which are not usually asked in standard tests.
It's a Paper-based or Online Exam open to all classes 1 to 10 students studying in participating school
Paper-based ISTSE exam is conducted through school. Students have to fill the form in the school and exam will be conducted inside-school campus during school hours.
If school decides to conduct the ISTSE Exam Online, Student will be required to use computer/tablet/smartphone with web-camera and a live internet connection to appear in the exam.
The test link will be available on the communicated date & time, and the students can appear in the exam online from the comfort of their home.

Paper-based Indian School Talent Search Exam (ISTSE) is a single paper exam of eighty-four (84) marks. Question papers will contain questions from Mental & Logical Ability, Mathematics, Science and English.
In case two or more students get the same rank, an interview will be conducted to decide the award.
Exam Duration: 60 minutes,
No of questions: 35 questions for students from class 1 to 4,
50 questions for students from class 5 to 10
Syllabus: Question papers will be comprising of questions from Mental & Logical Ability (9%) , Mathematics (24%), Science (24%), English (12%) and Scholars Section (15%). In case two or more students get the same rank, an interview will be conducted to decide the award. For detailed syllabus click HERE
Negative Marking: There is negative marking for each wrong answer.

Class Level Awards and Recognition
The First Topper from that particular class will get Cash Prize of ₹1500 + Gold Medal.
The Second Topper from that particular class will get Cash Prize of ₹1000 + Silver Medal.
The Third Topper from that particular class will get Cash Prize of ₹500 + Bronze Medal.
The First Topper from that particular class will get Cash Prize of ₹1500 + Gold Medal.
The Second Topper from that particular class will get Silver Medal(No Cash Prize).
The Third Topper from that particular class will get Bronze Medal(No Cash Prize).
The First Topper from that particular class will get a Gold Medal (No Cash Prize)
The Second Topper from that particular class will get a Silver Medal (No Cash Prize)
The Third Topper from that particular class will get get a Bronze Medal (No Cash Prize)
The First Topper from that particular class will get a Gold Medal (No Cash Prize)
(No Medals will be given to the Second and Third Topper.)
International Scholarship
International Topper of each class will get a scholarship of ₹1800 per month for 12 months + International Topper Shield.
School Level Awards and Scholarship
First School Topper (combining all the classes), will get a scholarship of ₹1500 for 12 months + School Topper Shield
Second School Topper (combining all the classes), will get a scholarship of ₹1000 for 12 months + First Runner Up Shield
Third School Topper (combining all the classes), will get a scholarship of ₹500 for 12 months + Second Runner Up Shield
First School Topper (combining all the classes), will get a scholarship of ₹1500 for 12 months + School Topper Shield
(No Scholarship will be given to the Second and Third Topper.)
Selection of School Topper
Rule 1 - Should have got minimum 60% marks in the ISTSE Examination.
Rule 2 - Must be a Class Topper for the current ISTSE Exam.
Rule 3 - Must have got the highest percentile in the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
Rule 4 - Must have got the highest percentile in Scholars’ Section of the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
Rule 5 - Must have got the highest percentile in Mathematics Section of the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
Rule 6 - Must have got the highest percentile in Science Section of the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
Rule 7 - Must have got the highest percentile in Mental & Logical Ability Section of the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
Rule 8 - Must have got the highest percentile in English Section of the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
In case of a tie based on the above criteria, the School recommendation (based on academic records) will be required.

Register Your School for ISTSE Exam- Each winner will be entitled to one award only. The winner will be entitled to the higher level award only. In case two or more students get the same rank, an interview will be conducted to decide the award.
- A minimum of 60% marks is required to get a scholarship or cash prize.
- To determine the fair conduction of exam, ISTSE can conduct interviews of the kids. Sixteen marks interview will have the highest weightage.
- We are very serious about fair conduction of the exam. Using unfair means during the exam is not acceptable. If found guilty, answer-sheet will be discarded. Repeated offender student/school will be barred from all future ISTSE Exams.
